Practical. Modern. Future-proof.
Weidemann’s new training workshop.
High-quality training is the foundation for tomorrow’s success. That is why Weidemann GmbH has comprehensively modernised its training workshop, thereby creating the ideal conditions for practical and future-oriented training.
A key part of the project was relocating the training workshop to the main site in Korbach. Thanks to this proximity, trainees can now engage more easily with specialist departments and integrate operational processes and current production requirements into their training in a practical way.
Modern equipment for modern learning.
The new training workshop has significantly improved training conditions at Weidemann. Ergonomically and functionally designed workbenches, high-quality industry-standard tools, and modern measuring and testing equipment create ideal conditions for daily learning and work. Clearly defined work areas and optimised workplace organisation based on lean principles further ensure structured processes and a professional working environment.
A particular highlight is the integration of 3D printing technology. This gives trainees early insights into modern manufacturing methods and allows them to gain first-hand experience of key future technologies.
A wide range of learning opportunities.
In the training workshop, trainees in the fields of industrial mechanics, metalworking, machine and plant operation, and agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics acquire the key fundamentals and practical skills they will need for their future careers. These include, amongst other things:
- The basics of metalworking, such as filing, drilling, turning and milling
- Assembly and disassembly of components
- Working from technical drawings
- Quality control and measurement technology
- Insights into modern manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing
- Structured working methods based on lean principles
- Teamwork and independent project implementation
Through a combination of theory and practical application, Weidemann apprentices are optimally prepared for their future roles.
Ready for the working world of tomorrow.
In addition to modern technical equipment, the new training workshop also teaches important methods and ways of thinking that are becoming increasingly important in industrial practice. These include, among others, lean management, shop floor management and working according to the 6S principle.
Trainees learn at an early stage how order and standardisation contribute to safe and efficient workflows, how transparency is created in processes, and why continuous improvement is a central component of modern production systems.
To provide the best possible support for young talent, Weidemann GmbH is creating the ideal conditions for practical training with its new training workshop and is making targeted investments in the skilled workers of tomorrow.
